Fernando Daza

Paper is central to her artistic language: a simple sheet of watercolor, torn by hand and glued onto canvas, is transformed into a composition of great visual impact. At other times, she meticulously cuts the paper with a craft knife and fits the pieces together, creating highly original symmetries and patterns. Her technique combines artisanal precision with a contemporary approach to collage and paper sculpture.

Fernando Daza's work is held in prestigious public and private collections, such as the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje, the National Art Gallery of Kosovo, the Banco Sabadell Foundation (Barcelona), and the University of Athens. His awards include First Prize at the 10th Fernando Quiñones National Fine Arts Competition (City Council of Cádiz, 2009) and a Special Mention at the 69th José Arpa National Painting Prize (Carmona, Seville, 2016).

His meticulous and conceptual work transforms paper into a sculptural medium, giving each piece texture, rhythm, and visual depth.
