LAURA BOFILL. «Animes» Exhibition Inauguration.
Interview with Laura Bofill: The Revolution of the Human Figure in the Seva «Animes» Presentation»
The Figuration of Abstraction
Lluís: The figuration of abstraction, the joy of painting a figure and a face of a girl and the freedom of creating an entire environment. All that is the hair, all that is most in the face: atmospheres, transparency, with all the creative freedom, it advances, investigates, tries to make this composition different in colors, rich in colors. These are the ones we will meet on the second day at the LA Art Show in Los Angeles and the ones we will accompany until almost there.
Logically, the artists are not calmer. Always fan a more endavant experimental, provant. And these cares continue to be the magic and protagonist of the seventh work.
The Disappearance of the Human Figure
Laura: Furthermore, this is the first, or next, it is the first copy that these works have with the human figure disappearing, which is the first time in my new trajectory, both of the works that I have written, always have the human figure or protagonist, as is the face of the gifts. Previously, there were more landscapes, but with a small person. The human figure is always present, and this time it disappears and it is the first time that it has been exposed.
The Constant Evolution of the Artist
Lluís: It's also a pleasure to have this work disappear when the figure disappears. Bé, let's see what will happen. It is always interesting to discover cap on van, what a fan of the artists.
Daring to take the leap from this space that is comfortable for them to dominate, is always welcomed by us, we discover that the artist is a wanderer, who does not stop, who does not confine himself.
Hi there are artists who all their lives are legitimate, fans of mateix.
There are artists who have this need to constantly experiment and evolve and discover and discover things. As a gallerist you go to the darrere trying to follow them. When you are here, they are there and when you are there, they are already on the other coast, but right? I always try to find out what fan I am. But they never cease to surprise you.
The Importance of New Materials
I see that it is a work on epoxy, the work is finished, it is a resin, baby, can you explain to me?
The painters only finished the quadres with the vernissos to protect their own work. It is, logically, that technology advances and new products appear that perfectly replace the vernissos and that provide this resistance and protection.
Laura: Also in color, which creates contrasts that paint does not provide.
Lluís: Amb els vernissos also achieved that, right?
Laura: He who passes the summer does not donate those grixos that donate the resin. Well, there are also some different presentations with plexiglass, always with small variations that are not just what, well, for me this exhibition serves as a demonstration of both materials and themes. I am with this family tract, which is, it is always a pleasure to work with you.
I know, my work always has constants canvis. Això, here, I have always treballat this relationship, feminitat with nature, això is the one that I have exposed the most here to Blanes, fa uns anys also hi there was more landscape with the small human figure, and with architecture I will also vaig treballar. I ara ja also estic amb el cos sencer, que això also això ho he fet mai.
I always try to keep a simple analysis of small variations and things that are maintained, things that change.
The Magic of Cares in the Art of Laura Bofill
Lluís: In all cases, the magic does not disappear. When a wife poses with a quadre of Laura, he sees plates, daurats… he creates this mystery in the surroundings of the figure that gives him magic.
What is the story of those glazes that touch, that almost go off the grid. Try to fix everything, you will disappear and spread the cape figure to an environment that remained eternal, that remained original, that remained interesting to finish the face. Molt conditions a center face.
Laura: Yes, it conditions that it gives a hard time, also an attraction to the public. If not, first of all, you don't see this thing as a face, that there is a very direct communication with the viewer.
The Connection with the Spectator
Lluís: It seems that sometimes the cares are so intense and so strong that you dominate the work itself.
When you see the ulls, you interact with the ulls and automatically a connection is produced.
Laura: It also depends on the viewer… Hi there is a role for the entire audience.
Lluís: In all cases it is a bad work, a different, original work. Per gaudir-la little by little.
Always, the work can look at it and let you interact with the work, create this language of communication between the piece and you. If you like it, give it time.
The experience is always gratifying.
Laura: I bé, thank you for coming. Això is a pleasure to see… But what's more, the hair is very individual in the workshop and I also like to visit the other exhibitions.
It's nice to see the public's reaction, because you're working hard and don't know what's going on… I'm also important to see how people react, what their opinions are, what do you think?
This communication to the viewer who also thought it was interesting.
The International Exhibition and the Family of Artists of Laura Bofill
Lluís: You also expose Madrid dius, right?
Laura: Yes, also to Belgium, England, Germany. My beginnings have continued abroad in Spain... Well, thanks to you a mica, this is how I have started to work at home, which is always more comfortable, more convenient, the joy of speaking also the mateix language, which is more familiar, I most like to work at home.
The outside is also interesting, but it's curious that it has continued, that I have started to leave here.
Lluís: More and more, they are a family of artists. His father is a great sculptor. The mother is a great painter, her German is a painter and all four work in a spectacular industrial ship. You enter there and breathe there, you don't know what it is, but it distills it...
Això that is distilled in the small workshops of artists, but there it is distilled in great form.
It is still a multidisciplinary space, where languages interact, a pure space, a small sanctuary of Art.
